Crisis in Health and Social Care

City & Hackney Older People’s Summit

Older people are bearing the brunt of squeezed budgets in both the NHS and local government. Care homes are closing in unprecedented numbers. Councils are increasingly unable to afford home care. The NHS is under great strain, with waiting lists lengthening. Accident and Emergency services are chockablock and local Clinical Commissioning Groups are being asked to find hundreds of millions in savings.

All residents and community groups welcome
